Crawling, signing, teeth and Kilroy

It's been hard to keep up with Quinn and capture all the changes on film. It's happening so fast! But we couldn't wait to share the evidence that he's officially crawling. He finally figured out how to go from the "army crawl" on his belly to getting his knees under him. Take a look.

It's just a matter of time before I'm everywhere...

Equally exciting is that Quinn has started signing! We've been doing some basic signs (i.e. sign language) with him for months now, and just last week, he started doing "light" and "fan" (although sometimes got them mixed up--all our ceiling fans have lights on them). And today while eating, he very clearly did "more".

He is pulling up on everything and cruising around the living room. We usually find him standing in his crib and the other morning he had thrown his couple of little toys in his crib and his blanket over the edge.

Have I mentioned that Quinn has 8 teeth? Today Mike got a great shot of them. There are 4 on top and 4 on the bottom. He's been trying them out on the new baby proofing (as well as just about everything else). This has necessitated us teaching him a new phrase: "no bite."

Check out those chompers!

Kilroy is here.

10 months old!

I am 10 months old today--happy birthday to me!

Modeling for BQ.

Last week in the grocery store I grabbed and ate a whole apricot.  Mom was amazed.

You can see how I've been getting around...

...and playing ball!

First bike ride

I'm very excited to share with you my first bike ride ever. Mom and Dad were shopping for a carrier for me forever and finally found the right one. And then it took some time to get it to work for both of their bikes. It's a Chariot side car, so I ride on the side of them instead of behind like in a trailer. It's supposed to be safer and all that, but all I know is...it sure is FUN.

Trying on my first bicycle helmet at the Bicycle Sport Shop.

Ready for my ride!

All strapped in and ready to go.

Wheeeeeeee! Hey Dad, are we in first or second place?
We're riding in the Tour de France right?

Oh, and check out my fun Fourth of July on my buddy Fletcher's blog.

Nat, Scott, Jeremy, & Ethan Come To Town!

Dad's good friend from grad school and her family came all the way from NY state to see us! We all did so many fun things: went to the sprinkler park, ran around with water guns, played mini-golf (not putt-putt), swam in Barton Springs, ate BBQ, Taco Deli, Hey Cupcake, and many other Austin favorites. Here are some of the highlights caught on camera:

I've heard a lot about you Auntie Nat & Family.
It was nice to finally meet y'all!
Holy Smokes! I AM a Texan.

Who's idea was this?
Jeremy & Ethan were sooooooo much fun!

Jeremy reads us all a story, including my buddy Fletcher who was passing through.

Father's Day at the Salt Lick. Uncle Scott and I loved the BBQ!

Uncle Scott says the red ones taste the best.
