Fall

It's now Fall in Austin and the weather has finally cooled off (to the 60s and 70s) and the leaves are falling off the trees. We've had a really nice week, including lots of walks to the park and town lake trail...

Also, we had a very nice Thanksgiving at my friend Sean's who is a little older than me. He already notices other babies and wants to grab them.

Here is the latest video of me hanging out at home... Love, Quinn

The weigh in

Yesterday at my 2-month checkup, I was 23" long (50th percentile), my head was 17" (also 50th percentile) and my weight was 14 lbs 4 oz (95th percentile!) The doctor said it's normal for babies my age to put on weight and then sprout up taller. Ha! She doesn't know the genes I have!

I also got two vaccines (I'm doing an alternative vaccine schedule so I don't get a lot at once) and I cried for the shot (so did mom) but otherwise did really well with no side effects.

Here is a movie showing me holding my toy from Grandma Georgie for the first time!

2 months old

This week I turned 2 months old...how time flies. Mom and Dad say that I've gone through so many changes this week. Also, I'm over 14 pounds, so that means I've more than doubled my birth weight! See the changes for yourself in these pictures and short movie:

Grandma, Grandpa and Cuz visit

We just had a great visit from my Grandma and Grandpa Kart and my cousin Tyler. It was so great to meet them all! Now I see why I am getting to be so TALL...

We had a nice relaxing weekend and everyone took such good care of me (and of my mom who was sick) and I can't wait to see them again!

Here are some pictures of us voting in my first presidential election. Our friend and doula Lanell made my Obama t-shirt!
