Giant Head

Here are Quinn's 9 month stats from his checkup last week:

• weight: 22 lbs 8 oz (75th percentile)
  
• height: 29" (75th percentile)
  
• head: 18 3/4" (95th percentile!)

 

Seriously, the nurse measured it twice because she thought she must've gotten it wrong the first time.  No wonder he isn't crawling around yet with that thing to lift!

Quinn is eating all sorts of food now, and prefers finger food to anything pureed.  But we at least try to start with the baby food and then give him finger foods afterwards, since he's still about a 50/50 success rate with getting the food in.  Although it certainly keeps him occupied while we eat!

 

 

California Trip highlights

I had such a great time in California visiting so many people!  Here are a few of my favorite moments:

Going to work with Pawel - building a house is fun, and good thing there are no child labor laws in CA (at least that's what he tells me). 

 

Feeding lettuce to the black sheep at Tilden Park's Little Farm with mom and Auntie Bunny.

 

Riding the rocking horse with cousin Rio.

Really awesome BBQ at Auntie Brooke's house with everybody - here is Auntie Bunny and me ringing the dinner bells.

Rio shows me how to jump on the trampoline (with help from Auntie Brooke).

First haircut

I went with mom last week to get her hair cut and her very nice friend and stylist Eden gave me a trim. Well, they said mohawk WAS getting pretty long...

Ah, that's nothin'.

Not bad! Hey, do you think I can meet any girls under 1 at Whole Foods?

Quinn makes music and "sings"

Inspired by Aiden's egg shaker, and Valerie's tip on the toy lending library, Quinn no longer has to make music by shaking his bottle of teething tablets.  He even added vocals!

Quinn finds the egg shaker a disappointing teething toy.
