First head turn

Yesterday I turned 6 weeks old. During my "tummy time" mom and dad were amazed that I was able to lift and turn my head! Notice Zoe the cat in the background.

Week 5

This past week has been a pretty busy one. We have started venturing out into the world a bit more. I had my first trip to Taco Deli, and I went on a walk with my friend Oscar.

Mom and I also attended our first mama-baby yoga class, sorry no pictures, since I slept through almost the whole thing! Here are a few other shots from this week. I am getting bigger and noticing more and more things around me.

I am so cute!

Everywhere we go, everyone says I am so cute. Like yesterday we went to our first mama-baby gathering with around 10 other babies. Mom and dad think that pictures don't begin to show just how cute I am. So I guess that means all of you who have not yet seen me in person need to come visit Austin! :)

Dad's lap

Today I am one month old! Mom and dad can hardly believe it. I saw my first movie today at the Alamo Drafthouse...mom found out they have "baby day" every Tuesday thanks to her friend Jodi. We had lunch and a movie with her and my new friend, 7 week old Oscar.

Austin breastfeeding challenge 2008

Today at the Austin farmer's market, there was a "breastfeeding challenge" event to set a record for the most breastfeeding mothers at once. So mom, dad and I attended and took part.

It was especially nice to see 3 of my "classmates" - friends from mom & dad's childbirth class with babies all born within a few days of me. Here is a picture of all the dads doing the "football hold" with us!

It was a very nice day and I got to get my diaper (and outfit) changed out in the park. Here's a short video of me enjoying it all.

Hand me downs

I love wearing hand me downs, and up until now I've been pretty much wearing clothes that my cousin Johnny gave me. But I just got 2 boxes of cool stuff from my friends Jeremy and Ethan... thanks Nat! Here are a few pictures of me in my new digs.

I love the dino jammies, even though they are still a little big. They are warm and cozy after my bath.

Grandma Georgie's visit

Grandma Georgie went home yesterday and I miss her so much already. During her last few days here, we had a lot of fun together. Dad put my new crib together and she helped mom set up my cool safari bedding and stuff. I love to watch the mobile.

We also had another bath. Boy do I love sucking on my finger!

Grandma babysat me one night so that mom and dad could have a "date night" to celebrate their one year anniversary a few days early. Here is a goofy picture of them getting ready to go out.

Now that my cord fell off, I was able to have a "real" bath in the bath tub. Notice my strategic foot placement!



Afterwards I got swaddled up, ate and slept for 3.5 hours! Mom is thinking of bathing me more often just to get a longer nap in today!
